On Sept. 30, “American Pickers” star Frank Fritz sadly passed away from a stroke at the age of 60, according to his death certificate obtained by TMZ. Fritz suffered from multiple blood circulation conditions, including aortic stenosis and cerebral vascular disease, which contributed to his death, as reported by People.
His former co-star on the bartering show, Mike Wolfe, broke the news on Oct. 1 over Instagram.
“It’s with a broken heart I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night,” he wrote.
“I’ve know Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny,” he added. “The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.”

Fritz’s manager, Bill Stankey also came out with a statement on Oct. 1 to People, calling Fritz an “exceptional human being.”
“He loved life, he cared about people, he always had a kind word to say and he knew more about Americana and antiques than anyone I ever met,” he said.
Fritz starred in 300 episodes of the History Channel series spanning over 10 years, traveling across the country with Wolfe in search of historical artifacts and hidden treasures to purchase from collectors to either resell or add to their own stash.
In addition to starring in the hit reality show, he also hosted “American Pickers: Best Of” and has made appearances on other reality and talk series including “Pawn Stars,” “Rachael Ray,” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
In 2020, Fritz stepped back from “American Pickers” due to health and legal issues.
A joint statement by the History Channel and Cineflix Production to the New York Post reminisced about the reality star while also offering their condolences to the Fritz family.
“We will always remember ‘the bearded charmer’ and his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bikes,” the statement said. “Our thoughts are with Frank’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be deeply missed.”
