https://youtu.be/L9s0uTQetZ4 This thanksgiving don’t forget to give thanks to your canine companion. Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir wants to remind you that your pup needs love too. Today he will be behind the scenes at The 15th Annual National Dog Show presented by Purina. Johnny (and his side kick Tara Lipinski) is thrilled to give edgy, fun loving commentary backstage. I had chance chat with Johnny before the festivities today. He gave me the scoop about his love for the show, #DogThanking and some fun moments behind the scenes.
Thanksgiving is not only a time to be thankful for your blessings. It’s also a time to give out blessings. This year I teamed up with the makers of LaLa Land to run a Thanksgiving Giveaway & Prize Pack! LA LA LAND tells the story of an aspiring actress Mia (Emma Stone) and a jazz musician Sebastian (Ryan Gosling). The two are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. This original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams. One lucky winner has the chance to receive: (2) movie…
https://youtu.be/mH9TiDKAjQQ Yesterday Shemar Moore and Bill Bellamy promoted their new film The Bounce Back. Moore, Bellamy and Nadine Velazquez come together on the big screen for this fun loving rom-com. I had a chance to chat with the leading man, Shemar Moore, and his comedic co-star, Bill Bellamy, on the red carpet before the screening of the film. The fellas had a lot to say about the movie and their adoring fans. Click play to take a glance at our red carpet recap. The Bounce Back will launch in theaters nationwide on December 9, 2016.
https://youtu.be/NXLxgU_R3KM In my previous posts, you can tell that I really enjoy cooking. So it was my pleasure to chat with “Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s” star Miss Robbie about holiday cooking tips. Miss Robbie is known for serving up some delicious southern cooking at her restaurant in St Louis. “Sweetie Pie’s” has become so successful that it’s garnered the attention of many celebs, especially Oprah. For the past seven seasons “Welcome To Sweetie Pies” has been a OWN Network favorite. While in Chicago promoting her new book, Sweetie Pie’s Cookbook: Soulful Southern Recipes, From My Family To Yours, I had a moment to chat with Miss Robbie…
https://youtu.be/RaMYn1sg1n8 It’s now time to save lives and with the help of Chicago Med’s Nick Gehlfuss, I think I did. Nick plays the hard hitting Dr. Will Halsted on the ER drama series. Not only is he an actor, I think Nick moonlights as a comedian. He kept me cracking up on-set and showed me some life saving techniques. Torrey DeVitto & Colin Donnell were also there too showing off their ER skills. They made the set demos feel like the real thing. Check out the video to see what I mean.
https://youtu.be/EHiyq2ezjYw In my previous post I recapped my red carpet coverage at “One Chicago Day”. Now I have to share the best part of the day… On-set visits! NBC’s Chicago Justice was the first stop on the tour. It was fun and interesting learning every aspect of the show from Philip Winchester, Carl Weathers and more. This video will show you just how much effort the creators put into making the show extraordinary! Hanging on the set of NBC’s Chicago Justice was a blast! Check it out!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9SH4FOSAc8 This is my favorite time of the year. Not because it is fall or Halloween but because October is: #NBCChicagoDay. On this day, press interviews cast/crew from Dick Wolf’s “windy city”-themed drama series: Chicago Fire, Med, P.D. & Justice. Although the day is long, it’s full of fun! In the morning its nothing but red carpet & roundtable interviews. Then in the afternoon the studio conducts set demos. Finally, the evening is capped off with another red carpet and a celebration. Take a look at my red carpet recap of Chicago Fire, Med, PD & Justice.
https://youtu.be/rHk1VfZqJnQ One of the cool things about my job is being able to get backstage passes to my favorite shows. The second coolest thing is being able to talk to the talent performing on those stages. Last week the Love In The 90’s Tour came to The Chicago Theatre. The lineup included: Blackstreet 2, EnVogue, Next, Jagged Edge & Adina Howard. I really enjoyed talking to some of the talent. Blackstreet & Next was the most entertaining interview of them all. These fellas are really fun to be around! Watch the interviews to see all the fun I had backstage. NEXT EnVogue Jagged Edge
Last week I had a chance to interview someone that I’ve admired for so long. Meeting veteran journalist Ed Gordon was a delightful encounter. I had the chance to discuss a multitude of interesting things with Ed. One topic that sparked my interest was his interview with Tupac. I’ve always wanted to meet Tupac so hearing stories about him was fascinating. Ed also shared about his career, interviewing O.J. and more. Take a look at the candid interview!
https://youtu.be/xOuYIiW5E0M I’m a huge fan of rappers when it comes to the old school style. Now-a-days the rap game, depending on who you are talking to, can be good or bad. While talking to Niakay, I got a chance to learn a few good things about The Rap Game. The Rap Game I’m referring to is the one that airs on Lifetime every Friday at 10/9C, features Jermaine Dupri and gives young hopefuls a chance to fulfill their dreams. NiaKay uses rap as a platform to express herself, always pushing to be better and work harder. Yesterday, I sat down and chatted…
